Cordoba Mezquita through a 9 year old's eyes

We entered into the garden which had orange trees everywhere.

The watering system was very clever, the Moors invented it. There was a big fountain on the side and the leftover water would stream into a trench which would feed the orange trees.

When we entered the Mosque it was like entering another world.

It was plain, but beautiful. The ceiling was made of particles of different materials to make patterns of beautiful work.

The coves were roped off and had sacred people of the Catholics. The floor was full of sacred people and their coffins.

We saw a big arch with amazing carvings into the exquisite wood. There were red wood and white wood mixed together to make a brownish color altogether.

Then we moved on to a different room with a tall carved solid gold post. There were tiny figures carved into the post showing sorrow, happiness, pain and mercy. It was very tall and made of only solid gold and silver.

We moved on to the last room where there were vases, water jugs and decorative vases.
There was even something from the first Century!

So you can see, the Mosque is a very memorable experience.
